Exciting news, changemakers: Girl Up’s proposed panel for SXSW – a massive annual event in Austin, Texas, USA, that celebrates the convergence of technology, film, television, music, education, and culture – has advanced to community voting!
The session, “Girl Up to the Moment: Sharing Executive Power with Youth,” will feature Girl Up’s two Chief Youth Advisors, Rym Badran and Valeria Colunga, and Girl Up’s Co-CEOs, Julie Willig and My Lo Cook, in a conversation about what happens when young people move beyond advisory roles and share meaningful executive power.
